American Red Cross Lifeguarding 120-Day Extension

The 120-Day Certification Extension Course is available to students who currently possess a valid American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification or one that is expired for no more than 30 days. This certification extends the length of the original certification for ninety days, thus allowing for a lifeguard to maintain a valid certification during this time of a public health pandemic. While this certification does extend the validity of the current certification, the American Red Cross advises students to continue reviewing the current curriculum, so they are ready to act in any emergency situation, even with the extended time between review classes. This extension can also be applied to Shallow Water Lifeguarding, Aquatic Attraction Lifeguarding, and/or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer Certification.
